In a rustic tone of orange this handwoven saree has checks patterns formed by black threads. The Chikki Paras border in Gold is a perfect combination. The Purple and Gold Silk Pallu has traditional Ilkal patterns ending in Handmade tassles.

Ilkal Weaves:

In a quaint little town of Ilkal, the weavers dedicatedly weave the signature styles of the region that is quite popular all over the world.
Ilkal also has a Misnomer: Irkal.
A traditional Ilkal Saree has its body woven in Cotton and its pallu, in Silk. Ilkal Sarees are woven in complete silk and complete cotton, too. Variants of Ilkals are found widely, but the traditional bright red Pallu with silver detailing in the Saree, remains most sought after. Ilkal Sarees have borders named as Gayatri, Chikki Paras, Gadi, etc for their unique styles. They even have different names for patterns in Pallu such as Kote Kammli, Topu Teni, Hanigi, etc

Wash Care:

Wash separately in mild detergent or soapnut powder, with cool water and dry in shade, preferably. If it is being sun-dried, remove it immediately after it dries; the harsh sun can fade a saree.

The saree does not need ironing if it dries without any creases.

Dry clean is a great option ,too if easily available.

The colour may or may not bleed depending on the dye used.
